Less than a week after fracturing his right fibula against DePaul, Eli Carter’s recovery is going as expected after a checkup with the doctor yesterday.
“They still don’t think surgery will be needed,” head coach Mike Rice said on today’s Big East conference call. “They’re going to check weekly for the first three weeks just to make sure that everything is heeling accordingly.”
Thus far, Rice seems pleased with Carter’s prognosis after the season ending injury.
“Yesterday was a good checkup and things seem to be progressing according to plan,” Rice said.
