Shaun O’Hara Retires

By Matt Sugam

Shaun O’Hara announced his retirement from the NFL today. Officially.

The former Rutgers walk-on was at Giants practice facility today to make the announcement. O’Hara was cut by the Giants prior to the 2011 season, which is the last time he played.

O’Hara joined the NFL Network where he is now an analyst after 10 years in the league.

The Hillsborough high school product is one of several Rutgers walk-ons to make it to the NFL. The other most notable guy to do so is Gary Brackett.

O’Hara finished his career as a three-time Pro Bowler, one-time All-Pro and a Super Bowl Champion.
