Rutgers’ Scott Vallone to play in the East-West Shrine game

While Khaseem Greene will be playing in the senior bowl, fellow senior Scott Vallone will play in the 88th East-West Shrine game.
Vallone – who started 50 straight games at Rutgers – was named to the All-Big East First Team this season. He recored a career-high 12.5 tackles for a loss and 50 tackles on the season.
The event is another chance for the 6-foot-3, 275 pound defensive tackle to showcase his skills to NFL scouts, general managers and coaches.
The all-star game is played in St. Petersburg, FL at Tropicana Field on January 19 at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on the NFL Network.
Vallone becomes the 15th player in Rutgers’ history to participate in the event.
