Rutgers represented in the Super Bowl

By Matt Sugam

For the second straight year, a former Rutgers player will be a Super Bowl Champion.

49ers right tackle Anthony Davis punched his ticket with a win over the Falcons in the NFC Championship game while running back Ray Rice and tight end Alex Silvestsro’s (practice squad) Ravens defeated the Patriots in the AFC Championship game. Rice rushed 48 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 22 yards.

Rutgers is one of six schools to have a starter on both teams.
