Rutgers names Ron Prince offensive coordinator and Dave Cohen defensive coordinator

By Matt Sugam

Kyle Flood has finally completed his coaching staff, making four moves official today. As expected, Ron Prince has been named the offensive coordinator while Dave Cohen has been named the defensive coordinator the school announced.

The other two moves are running backs coach Norries Wilson taking on another responsibility as he’s been named assistant head coach while graduate assistant Anthony Campanile has been promoted to an offensive assistant. Campanile will coach the tight ends and wide receivers as Flood said tight ends coach Darnell Dinkens has “moved on to pursue personal interests.”

Before becoming the head coach at Kansas State from 2006-08, Prince was the offensive coordinator at Virginia from 2001-05. He also has a heavy background as an offensive line coach.

Cohen – who has been promoted from Rutgers’ linebackers coach – has been a defensive coordinator at Delaware and Western Michigan and was the head coach at Hofstra.

Prince replaces Dave Brock who left to become the head coach of Delaware while Cohen fills in for Robb Smith who is now the linebackers coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
