Rutgers’ Logan Ryan A Semifinalist For The Jim Thorpe Award

Heading into the season, Logan Ryan was widely regarded as the best cornerback in the Big East. Now, he’s being recognized as one of the best in the country.

The junior was named a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the best defensive back in the country. Ryan has 12 pass breakups on the year, tying him for 10th nationally.

Three finalists will be announced on November 19. The winner of the award will be announced as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show on December 6.

Rutgers is has a bye this week and returns to action Saturday, November 10 when they host Army.
