Rutgers’ Kyle Federico Misses Practice and Al Page Has Surgery

By Matt Sugam

PISCATAWAY – After missing the game against Syracuse, Rutgers kicker Kyle Federico has yet to practice this week and won’t until the latter part of the week.

“Give it as much time as we can to recover and see what he can do ultimately at the end of the week,” head coach Kyle Flood said.

If Federico misses his second straight game, Nick Borgese will once again handle kicking after hitting two of three extra points and a 25-yard field goal last week. However, this will be his first road test. But that doesn’t waiver Kyle Flood’s confidence in him.

“Very confident,” Flood said. “I think  Nick’s done a good job.”

Note: Flood announced that Al Page (lower leg) — who he alluded was out for the year a couple weeks ago — has undergone surgery, and while he’ll be out for the season, he’ll be ready for spring practice.
