Rutgers’ Khaseem Greene Named Walter Camp Defensive Player Of The Week

After one of the best games of his illustrious career, Khaseem Greene is already reaping in the accolades for it. The senior linebacker was named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation National Defensive Player of the Week, presented by Generation UCAN.

Greene had 14 tackles, one and a half sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception to lead No. 19 Rutgers past Syracuse 23-15 and improve to 6-0 on the season.

Greene becomes the third player in school history to win the award. The others were running back Ray Rice who won the Offensive Player of the Week Honors the week of September 3, 2006 and Ramel Meekins who won the Defensive Player of the Week Honors the week of October 15, 2006.

Rutgers returns to action this weekend to take on Temple at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday at noon.
