Rutgers’ Injury Update Heading Into Arkansas
By Matt Sugam
PISACATAWAY – After the final practice of the week, nothing’s changed on Rutgers injury front heading into the Arkansas game. Head coach Kyle Flood said there was “no change from yesterday,” as far as the running back depth.
That means P.J. James (ankle) is questionable while Savon Huggins (lower leg) is doubtful. With that being the case, Jawan Jamison will get a bulk of the carries again. With inexperience at tailback behind Jamison, Flood said yesterday that fullback Michael Burton could take some reps at running back.
As for the holding situation, it appears to be a game-time decision with J.T. Tartacoff (dislocated pinky) questionable.
“If we were playing today I think Doerner would do it,” Flood said. “I don’t know if that’s set in stone just yet.”
