Rutgers’ Duron Harmon Named To Capital One Academic All-District Team

As well as Duron Harmon has played on the field, it seems like all of his recognition is coming off it.

The senior safety has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced today. This comes after being named a finalist for the ARA Sportsmanship Award and the Senior CLASS Award and selected as a semifinalist for the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Semifinalist Awards and the William V. Campbell Trophy.

Harmon has developed into one of Rutgers’ top defensive players while also finding success in the classroom. The Mangolia, DE native has a 3.412 GPA while majoring in Labor Studies. He made Rutgers University’s Dean’s List in the spring semester for having a GPA of 3.5 or higher. He’s also made the All-Big East academic team.

For being selected to the Disctrict II team, Harmon can become a Capital One Academic All-American. Voting for thats begins for First, Second and Third Team All-America honorees on Tuesday, November 13.
