P.J. Fleck hired as the head coach at Western Michigan

Another Greg Schiano disciple has become a head coach as P.J. Fleck will take the reins at Western Michigan.

The former Rutgers assistant is expected to be named the new head coach of the MAC school according to the Kalamazoo Gazette.

Fleck was the wide receivers coach at Rutgers form 2010-11. After Schiano left of the NFL, Fleck became the offensive coordinator of NIU for one day before resigning and joining Schiano in Tampa Bay.

Currently the Bucs wide receivers coach, Fleck is becomes the youngest coach in the FBS at 32-years-old. Fleck replaces Bill Cubit, who also worked for Schiano as Rutgers’ offensive coordinator from 2001-02.
