Miles Shuler granted release from Rutgers to transfer, but with a restriction

Miles Shuler has gotten his release to transfer from Rutgers.

However, it comes with a restriction.

Shuler cannot transfer to a Big Ten school, according to The Star-Ledger’s Mike Vorkunov, who notes that Northwestern was interested in the 5-foot-10, 175 pound wide receiver.

This comes as no surprise considering Rutgers is joining the Big Ten in 2014.

After his transfer was announced, the Long Branch, NJ native said he’s looking to go to a school out west as he has family in California.
