Rutgers received one of their best commitments of the class of 2014 today in safety Kiy Hester.
“blessed to say i jus committed to rutgers !!!
#chopnation,” Hester tweeted.
“Huge in-state get,” ScarletNation.com’s recruiting analyst Matt Hladik told SNY.tv. “For a while he was set on leaving New Jersey but the staff and [fellow Rutgers commit and DePaul teammate] Justin Nelson stayed on him and it paid great dividends.
“He is a fluid athlete, can do a lot at safety whether it is against the run or the pass. He has good size too, and can be utilized in a variety of ways.”
Hester is the 19th commit of the 2014 class.
