Khaseem Greene named Maxwell Club’s Brian Westbrook Tri-State Player of the Year

As one of the best defensive players in the country, Khaseem Greene has been recognized as the best player in the Tri-State by the Maxwell Club, being named the Club’s 12th Brian Westbrook Player of the Year.

As the Big East Defensive Player of the Year, Greene recorded 125 tackles, 5.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and two interceptions on the season.

Greene becomes the the fourth Scarlet Knight to receive the award. The others were running back Ray Rice, and wide receivers Kenny Britt and Mohamed Sanu.

Greeene will be honored  on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the 76th Maxwell Club National Awards Gala at the Harrah’s Atlantic City Resort.
