After being signed to the practice squad seven weeks ago, Joe Martinek has been released from the practice squad.

Cut near the end of training camp, Martinek was brought back  after Andre Brown suffered a concussion.

Before resigning with the Giants on October 8, the former Rutgers tailback was planning to join the police force as a state trooper.
