The last time Rutgers played Fresno State, Giants tight end Bear Pascoe was the Bulldogs starting tight end in the 24-7 victory in Piscataway back in 2008.
The thing is, recalling parts of the win is a bit difficult. And he can thank former Giants teammate Ryan D’Imperio for that.
“I remember I got hit by this linebacker and kicked myself in the back of the head and this safety just tattooed me right behind the ear,” Pascoe told D’Imperio via The Star-Ledger. “He goes ‘Yeah that was me’.”
Pascoe also noted the toughest part of playing at Fresno.
“The biggest thing would be the heat,” Pascoe said. “They’re going to have to deal with the heat because August, early September in Fresno it’s gotten to be pretty warm.
“It’ll get up to 110, 115 sometimes of dry heat…You’ll walk out of the cold AC room watching fillm and it just hits you like a brick wall. They’ll have fun with that.”
