For only the second time ever, the Empire State Building will be lit up in red for a Rutgers game when the Scarlet Knights take on Louisville Thursday night.
The last time the Empire State Building was lit red was when the two teams clashed in 2006. Both teams were undefeated at the time and Rutgers won 28-25, marking the biggest win in school history.
The game this year will be the de facto Big East Championship game. While Rutgers already secured a share of the Big East Title, they can win it outright with a win. The winner of the game will represent the Big East in a BCS Bowl.
