Duron Harmon Named Senior Class All-American

By Matt Sugam

Duron Harmon has been named an All-American, and it’s as much for what he’s done off the field than what he’s done on it.

The senior safety was named a 2012 Senior Class Award Second-Team All-American, given to athletes that excel in four areas, the classroom, community, character and competition.

Harmon is a Labor Studies major with a 3.4 GPA, a two-time member of the All-Big East academic team and a member of Rutgers’ Dean’s List from 2011-12 thanks to a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

On the field, Harmon is an two-time All-Big East selection.
