Dave Brock named Delaware head coach

By Matt Sugam

For the fourth time in four years, Rutgers will be looking for a new offensive coordinator.

After just one season at Rutgers, Dave Brock was officially named the head coach at Delaware at a news conference today.

Brock had been said to be the front runner on the Blue Hen’s list of candidates according to The News Journal, and it comes as no surprise that he has been named the head coach.

“I am very excited for Dave and Karen. Dave Brock is the perfect fit for The University of Delaware and will run a football program they will always be proud of,” Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood said in a statement released by Rutgers. “I have two lasting memories from my time in Newark, great people and championship football. I know the people are still great and I know Dave will bring championships back to Delaware.”

This will be Brock’s first time as a head coach.

“I had an opportunity to end up at Rutgers with Kyle, but this opportunity comes up, and maybe for lack of a better way of looking at it, the geography, the opportunity, they kind of all met,” Brock said. “And again, I don’t think anybody could be more excited about the opportunity.”

That was a sarcastic "perfect". He doesn't belong on the same ballpark that Jeter played on.

If A-Rod wasn't making so much bread, MLB would turn a blind eye like they always do when their cash cow aka The New York Yankees break the rules. I'd love to see a list of how many dirty players passed through the Bronx before getting caught.

Pete Rose gambles, banned and rejected from baseball and the HOF. Hope he enjoys riding the bench the rest of his career.

How long until he gets busted again. Will forever be a Yankee fan but not an ARod fan. Look at our record with him--Curse of the ARoid

Jealous cause he's not on your team. And I don't want to hear it. Every player does it

Funny he told Cashman to sthfu. Now Cashman says he is our 3b. He will not be an impact player next season. Odds are he will get hurt. I would just eat the contract. Face it Cashman, you owe him the money if he plays or not. So face it. You got a few good years from him. Just let him go. Set up one of those Bobby Bonilla release payment plans.

He is getting paid more than the others and then lied to the yankees about it

The same ones that said they'd never root for him after the report in 2012 and missing much of 2013. One home run and bleacher creatures chant later and they cheered him on like nothing happened.

Wish he would go away for good. But it's the yankees problem since they gave him that massive deal and are stuck with him three more years
