Mason Robinson has signed with the Buccaneers.
After signing with Tampa Bay at the end of July, the former Rutgers defensive back and punt/kick returner was soon waived.
He has now resigned with the Bucs, the team announced today.
While Robinson was signed, former Rutgers linebacker Marvin Booker was waived/injured.
Robinson is one of five defensive backs from Rutgers’ 2012 team on an NFL roster, joining Brandon Jones, Duron Harmon and Logan Ryan, who are all on the Patriots, andMarcus Cooper, who was drafted by the 49ers.
Robinson joins tight end Tim Wright and linebacker Ka’Lial Glaud as the Rutgers players from the 2012 team to join former Rutgers head coach Greg Schaino in Tampa Bay. The three rookies join former Rutgers punter Andrew DePaola, defensive tackle Gary Gibson,running back Brian Leonard, wide receiver Tiquan Underwood, center Jeremy Zuttah and guard Howard Barbieri on the Bucs roster.
