Anthony Davis given the Bobb McKittrick Award

Anthony Davis may have been snubbed from the Pro Bowl, but his fellow 49ers teammates recognized his efforts, selecting him the recipient of the Bobb McKittrick Award.

The award is given to the offensive linemen “who best exemplifies the dedication, excellence and commitment of [former 49ers] offensive line coach Bobb McKittrick,” according to the team’s website.

It is “meant to honor those offensive linemen who have best represented the courage, intensity and sacrifice displayed by the late Coach McKittrick during his 21 years of service with the 49ers.”

“I was selected the Bobb McKittrick Award winner for 2012 by my teammates. Tonight was one of my Proudest moments,” Davis tweeted.
