Status of Rutgers-Georgetown game with impending snowstorm

By Matt Sugam

Rutgers is scheduled to play No. 20 Georgetown on Saturday at noon. New Jersey is also expected to slammed with a blizzard Friday and Saturday.

So what happens to the game if there’s a snowpocalypse?

According to the Big East Policy manual, the game will be played as scheduled if both teams and two of the the three game officials are present, unless there is a superseding decision by state or local officials.

If state or local officials are not involved in the decision on whether or not to play the game, it will be made by the team(s) and the Big East office.
