Rutgers vs. Georgetown will be played as scheduled

Despite the blizzard that is hitting the Garden State and the rest of the northeast today and tomorrow, Rutgers will play No. 20 Georgetown at noon as scheduled the school announced today.

Georgetown has made it to its hotel in Piscataway.

According to the Big East Policy manual, the game will be played as scheduled if both teams and two of the the three game officials are present, unless there is a superseding decision by state or local officials.

If state or local officials are not involved in the decision on whether or not to play the game, it will be made by the team(s) and the Big East office.
