When it comes to fighting cancer, Rutgers head coach Mike Rice said he’d be willing to do anything to help cure the disease. In turn, Coaches vs. Cancer has taken him far and wide. Now it’s taking him high.
Rice will rappel the Harborside Financial Center Plaza 5 in Jersey City for the Coaches vs. Cancer as part of the American Cancer Society “Over the Edge” event.
“Cancer touches everyone,” Rice said. “In my time working with Coaches versus Cancer, I have been inspired by many wonderful people fighting this terrible disease. As such, I have said that I would do anything in the fight against cancer. Put up or shut up. I’m putting up. Up high, actually.”
470-feet high to be exact. Rice will rappel down the building Friday, September 28 at 9:30 a.m.
